PM stresses the importance of setting a date for holding elections for KRG Parliament

Prime Minister Muhammed S. Al-Sudani stressed the importance of setting a date for the elections for the Kurdistan Regional Parliament.

Al-Sudani received on Monday, the chairman and members of the Council of the Independent High Commission for Elections, and was briefed on the details of the commission's work and its ongoing preparations, to hold provincial elections, scheduled for December 18 next, according to a statement by the media office of the Prime Minister, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
 
During the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of adhering to the timelines set for the work stages of preparations, and making efforts to hold fair, transparent and impartial elections, stressing providing the required government support to the Commission and providing all its requirements to perform its tasks professionally and correctly.

The statement included, "The meeting also witnessed the importance of setting a date for holding elections for the parliament of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq."
