(17) foreigners arrested trying to infiltrate the borders illegally

The command of the border forces announced, on Sunday, the arrest of (17) foreign infiltrators  who tried to cross the border illegally.

"Through continuous field follow-up to prevent cases of infiltration and smuggling, the first regiment of the sixteenth border brigade within the fourth region Border Command was able to arrest 17 foreign infiltrators who tried to cross the border illegally,"the command media said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

"A protocol of asset seizure has been organized, legal measures have been taken against them and they have been referred to the competent authorities," It added.
