Rashid stresses the importance of developing bilateral cooperation with Italy

President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid stressed today, Monday, the importance of developing bilateral cooperation in the political, economic and cultural fields with Italy.
 
A statement by the Presidency of the Republic, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said: "The President of the Republic, Abdul al-Latif Jamal Rashid, received, at the Baghdad Palace, the Italian Ambassador to Iraq, Maurizio Cricanti."
During the meeting, the President stressed the depth of the existing relations between the two countries and the two friendly peoples, and the need for coordination on issues of common concern.
The President expressed his thanks and gratitude to the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, and all the Italian officials and people, for the warm reception and hospitality during the President's visit to Italy last month, noting in this context, "The visit was fruitful and will contribute to consolidating work prospects at various levels."
The president stressed, according to the statement, the importance of developing bilateral cooperation in the political, economic and cultural fields, especially antiquities, referring to the new places where antiquities were discovered, especially in the city of Sulaymaniyah.
For his part, Ambassador Maurizio Cricanti expressed his country's commitment to supporting the security and stability of Iraq and the well-being of its people, stressing his country's aspiration to continue joint work and strengthen the existing relations between the two friendly countries.
