President Rashid Receives Galawej International Festival Delegation

the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, stressed on Sunday, the need to support the establishment of cultural, literary and artistic festivals.
 
A statement by the Presidency of the Republic, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated, "The President of the Republic, Abdullatif Jamal Rashid, received today Sunday, at the Baghdad Palace, the delegation of Galawej International Festival, headed by Ibtisam Ismail, head of the center."

Rashid explained, according to the statement, "the importance of the role that that intellectuals of all levels play a crucial role in raising society's awareness in many different cultural fields, in order to achieve a civilized society."

To enhance relationships and rapprochement between different cultures and diverse communities, festivals of culture, literature, and the arts should be held and supported ," praising the " Galawej  International Festival."

In turn, the members of the delegation expressed their thanks and appreciation to the President of the Republic for his continuous support for the cultural and literary movement in the country.

The delegation extended an invitation to the President of the Republic to attend the annual conference of the Galawezh International Festival."

Further, President Rashid was invited to attend the Galawej International Festival, and they confirmed their commitment to supporting Iraq's culture by providing literary productions reflecting the privileged cultural heritage of the Kurdistan Area and Iraq.
