Al-Halbousi confirms his support for the commander-in-chief by making security changes

    The speaker of the parliament, Mohammed Al-Halbousi, confirmed on Sunday his support for the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, by making security changes and job rotation. 
     
    The media office of the speaker of the parliament said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the speaker of the parliament, Mohammed Al-Halbousi, received today the new commander of the Anbar provincial police, Major General Mohammed Rashid Saleh, and the former commander of the Provincial Police, Lieutenant General Hadi Razij Ksar, as well as the new director of the Anbar Intelligence Directorate, Brigadier General Daher Mahmoud Yassin Alwani, and the former Director Major General Raed Ahmed Al-Fares.
     
    Al-halbousi praised “the efforts of the former leaders and their role in consolidating the security and stability witnessed by Anbar province over the past period," wishing "the new leaders success in their tasks and standing up to any threats targeting the security of citizens and the stability of the province.
     
    According to the statement, the speaker of the parliament stressed "the support of the commander-in-chief of the armed forces by making security changes and job rotation in accordance with the government's vision and program in managing the security file, and continuing to support our military and security forces in the fight against terrorism, and all efforts that contribute to enhancing stability".
