The Media Office of the Prime Minister said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency-INA that ,  “PM Al-Sudani conveyed heartfelt wishes to the Iraqi people and the Islamic world on the auspicious occasion of Eid Al-Ghadir. He emphasized the importance of following the exemplary lives of the Messenger of God and the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon them), embracing their teachings on justice, poverty alleviation, and responsible financial stewardship. The blessed Ghadir stand remains a vibrant testament and a reaffirmation of our unwavering commitment to the profound values they embody and their enduring significance in our lives.”

Here are the key highlights from the Prime Minister's address on this occasion:

To truly embrace the life of Imam Ali (pbuh), we must reflect upon its profound meanings and values within the context of our actions, responsibilities, and the expectations of those we serve.

The most reliable compass for us is his trust in Malik Al-Ashtar (one of his captains) embodying a principled approach to leadership and accountability.

The Imam's teaching serves as a reminder that a leader should not be driven solely by pleasing specific factions, treating power as a prize or personal gain, but rather should prioritize the greater good beyond party lines or alliances.

We will not back down from everything that pleases our people, and we will not be flattered at the expense of their rights.

Following the footsteps of Ali bin Abi Talib requires us to actively engage in the field of action, demonstrating exemplary conduct and integrity.

The primary purpose of public funds is to serve the people, facilitate reconstruction, alleviate poverty, and improve the well-being of individuals.

Official plans should incorporate economic projects, enabling optimal utilization of resources, as sustainable initiatives are essential for achieving meaningful reconstruction.

After closely observing the hardships faced by our citizens, we have established five key priorities for our endeavors, aligning with their needs and demands.

Guaranteeing the right to employment, enhancing service quality, tackling unemployment, eradicating poverty, and fostering economic reform while combating corruption are vital pillars for ensuring social security and civil harmony.

It is the duty of officials to safeguard public funds from corruption and theft, refraining from favoring specific individuals or teams based on personal connections, familial ties, or levels of influence.

Our unwavering commitment to combatting corruption remains steadfast, addressing its root causes such as exploitation of power and favoritism. Imam Ali highlighted the dangers of the elite and inner circles that seek to monopolize resources during his reign.

Since day one, our instructions have emphasized that officials must step out of their offices and actively engage with and monitor the progress of work, ensuring timely and uninterrupted service delivery to the people.

Recent directives have extended the working hours for ministers, deputies, and senior managers, underscoring our dedication to serve the people who rightfully deserve our full investment of time and effort.

Our duty is to serve our deserving citizens, compelling us to devote all our time and energy to their welfare.
