PM and Al-Mandalawi agree to strengthen government-parliamentary cooperation

    The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, and the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, agreed today, Thursday, to strengthen parliamentary government cooperation and to tighten anti-corruption steps.

    The media office of the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Al-Mandalawi received Al-Sudani today, and during the meeting, they discussed the latest developments and developments in the political arena.".

    He added, "During the meeting, the importance of expediting the implementation of the government program was also emphasized to provide basic services and projects to citizens, and it was agreed to strengthen cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities to enact important laws, as well as tighten steps to combat corruption and preserve public money, and follow up on the disbursement of financial allocations in the budget for the current year in the places for which it was allocated.
