Minister of oil and his Azerbaijani counterpart discuss development of relations and joint cooperation

Oil minister Hayyan Abdul Ghani and his Azerbaijani counterpart Parviz Shahbazov discussed the development of relations and joint cooperation on Thursday.

The ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Deputy Prime Minister for energy affairs and oil minister Hayyan Abdul Ghani met in the Austrian capital Vienna, Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov," noting that "during the meeting, the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries in all fields, especially the oil and energy sector, were discussed.

Abdul Ghani stressed, according to the statement, that "during the meeting, it was agreed to develop relations, cooperation and joint coordination," praising "the historical relations between the two friendly peoples, and their keenness to develop them to broader horizons and projects that serve common interests.
