Prime Minister orders changing in security institutions

    The prime minister, the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, on Wednesday issued orders for changes in some security institutions .

    The spokesman for the commander-in-chief, Major General Yehia Rasool , said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "in accordance with the government program and its priorities related to the administrative reform of security institutions, the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, issued orders for changes in some security positions ," indicating that "this came in order to give the opportunity to other leaders in the management of the security file; in order to raise the efficiency of performance of security institutions.

    He added that "this step comes after a thorough study to enhance security and stability in various regions of the country, and for the requirements of the public interest, which requires working according to a professional vision with new security leaders who are efficient and have graduated in service within security institutions, and their work will also be subject to continuous evaluation". 

    Al-Sudani praised, according to the statement, "the efforts exerted by the leaders involved in the change during their term in office, and provided what they can provide in positions of responsibility".
