An attempt to smuggle a narcotic substance in the possession of a passenger at Zerbatya Port foiled

Border Ports Authority announced the arrest of an Iraqi traveler who was seized in possession of the narcotic substance (antidote) at Zerbatya Port. 
 
The Authority said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), on Wednesday, that" the seizure was carried out by the anti-drug detachment in conjunction with the protection force and the customs police before entering the arrivals hall. 
 
It added that “a committee has been formed, an original seizure report has been organized, and the accused has been referred to the anti-drug division to present the matter before the investigating judge to take appropriate legal measures against him”.
