This evening, Friday, the mass popular demonstrations called for by the leader of the Sadrist movement, Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr, took place in front of the Swedish embassy building in Baghdad, condemning the burning of the Holy Qur’an.
The correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that citizens flocked in large numbers in front of the Swedish embassy building in Baghdad to protest against the crime of burning the Holy Qur’an, indicating that the demonstrators demanded the closure of the Swedish embassy in Baghdad, while during the demonstration the flag of homosexuality will also be burned.
It is noteworthy that the crime of burning the Holy Qur’an in Sweden received angry reactions from religious, political and mass circles.
