The head of the Border Crossings Authority inspects the Shalamcheh and Safwan outlets

The head of the Border Crossings Authority, Major General Omar Adnan Al-Waeli, inspected,on  Thursday,  the Shalamcheh and Safwan crossings on the morning of Eid Al-Adha.

The authority said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the head of the border crossings authority, Major General Omar Adnan Al-Waeli, conducted a morning inspection tour that included the Shalamcheh and Safwan border crossings, with the aim of providing moral support to the members of the authority from the civil and military staffs and working departments during the days of Eid Al-Adha," Indicating that "Al-Waeli offered congratulations and blessings, and called for him to preserve our country and strengthen our resolve in his service."

The statement added, "The visit included holding a meeting with the working cadres, where they discussed the most important challenges and preparations that it is necessary to previously consider addressing, especially as we are on the threshold of the Arbaeen visit dealt with the relevant sectoral departments."

It stated that "these field visits come in order to maintain communication between the general headquarters and its subordinates, to maintain the exchange of information, raise the level of performance, and motivate workers to provide more bids."
