Capturing 3 wanted persons, one of them a terrorist, in Sulaymaniyah and Baghdad

The General Directorate of Intelligence and Security announced on Monday, the arrest of three wanted men, one of them a terrorist, in Sulaymaniyah and Baghdad.

A statement of the Directorate, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that, "according to accurate intelligence information through which detachments of the Sulaymaniyah Intelligence and Security Directorate affiliated to the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security at the Ministry of Defense arrested one of the terrorist elements who is wanted by the judiciary in accordance with the provisions of Article (1/4) terrorism issued from a country court of inquiry.”

It added, "The arrest process took place through his presence in the Sulaymaniyah governorate, through coordination with the Kurdistan region's Asayish."

The statement stated, "The detachments of the Baghdad Intelligence and Security Directorate, affiliated to the directorate, were able to arrest a suspect smuggling unlicensed medicines in the Karrada area in Baghdad, after he was caught in possession of unlicensed medicines."

It continued, "The detachments arrested one of those wanted by the judiciary on charges of dealers and promotion of narcotic substances north of the capital, according to a warrant issued against him and according to Article 28 of narcotics, where the two suspects were handed over to the competent authorities."
