The General Customs Authority announced on Monday, the seizure of 30 trucks violating import requirements at the Northern Region Customs.
A statement by the authority, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the Investigation and Anti-Smuggling Department in the Northern Region Customs Directorate managed to seize 30 trucks loaded with various materials (iron pipes, truck tanks, foodstuffs, fertilizers, fodder additives, spare materials, and fabrics), clothes, honey, wood, electrical transformers, chicken, and various other materials) in violation of the import conditions and controls in force.”
The statement added, "The seizure process was carried out in cooperation with the customs police," noting that "legal measures have been taken against violations in accordance with the applicable customs law."
