The representative of the supreme religious authority, Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi al-Karbalai, praised today, Sunday, the great role played by the Nineveh Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization Forces and its formations by supporting security stability in coordination with the security services, indicating that the Popular Mobilization was established with the fatwa of the supreme religious authority, and it is necessary to keep the spirit of jihad present.
The Media Directorate of the Popular Mobilization stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Sheikh Karbalai met the commander of the Nineveh Operations of the Popular Mobilization, Khadir al-Matrouhi, at the holy Husseini shrine, accompanied by the representative of the shrine in Nineveh Governorate, Imad al-Qara Ghuli."
Sheikh Karbalai said, according to the statement, that "the Popular Mobilization was established by the fatwa of the supreme religious authority in Najaf, and it is necessary for the spirit of jihad to remain present among all the mujahideen, as the battle continues and has not ended," stressing "compliance with the orders of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces."
Sheikh Karbalai praised "the great role played by the Nineveh Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization Forces and its formations by supporting security stability in coordination with the security services present in the province, strengthening the social fabric and applying the law."
For his part, Al-Matrouhi stated during the meeting that we are "the owners of a message to the general public, a message of love and affection, and that sound methodology by Sayyid Al-Sistani (Allah bless him) and the overall role of the popular crowd in supporting the construction and development movement in Mosul."
