FIIA arrests "Wali of Tal Afar": SMC

The Security Media Cell SMC announced Sunday the arrest of the Wali of Tal Afar.
 
SMC said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The detachments of the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency FIIA in the Ministry of Interior, through accurate intelligence information and the cooperation of citizens, were able to arrest the so-called Wali of Tal Afar during a security operation carried out within Baghdad province."
 
The statement added that "the documents indicate that the accused worked in the most terrorist position within the province of Nineveh during the liberation battles, and the so-called security of the Hodeidah area and is still practicing his terrorist activity, following up on sleeper cells in northern Baghdad."
 
"The wanted defendant was referred in accordance with the provisions of Article IV of the Anti-Terrorism Law to the competent investigative authorities," it said.
