The head of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said today, Friday, that the world must be prepared to respond to an outbreak of a disease "more deadly" than Corona.

Ghebreyesus warned, during a speech delivered at the annual decision-making meeting of the 194 member states of the World Health Organization in Geneva, that the end of Covid-19 as a global health emergency does not mean that the global health threat has ended.

It causes new outbreaks of disease and death remains, and the threat of another disease arising with the potential to be more deadly is still possible.

Ghebreyesus's remarks came during" the World Health Organization's announcement of the launch of an international network to monitor pathogens, to help identify emerging threats. About diseases and responses to them using genomics.”
He pointed out, “The network aims to give every country access to pathogenic genetic sequencing and analyzes as part of its public health system.”
