The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, visited today, Monday, Monument to the Unknown Soldier in Rome, on the sidelines of his visit to Italy.
A statement by the Presidency of the Republic, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said: "The President of the Republic, Abdul al-Latif Jamal Rashid, visited the monument of the Unknown Soldier in Rome on the sidelines of his visit to Italy."
The statement added, "Upon the arrival of the president's convoy to the site of the monument, he was received by the Italian Minister of Defense Guido Cruzetto, after which the Iraqi and Italian national anthems were played, then the president of the Republic laid a wreath at the monument of the Unknown Soldier."
According to the statement "The president was accompanied by the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Ahmed Fakak Al-Badrani, and the Minister of Immigration and Displaced, Evan Faiq Jabro, in addition to a number of advisors and officials."
