Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Muhsin Al-Mandalawi, and the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Iraq, Petr Stepanik, discussed cooperation between the two countries in the fields of energy and investment.
Al-Mandalawi received in his office on Wednesday, Stepanik and his accompanying delegation, expressing his readiness to provide sufficient support to the Czech Republic's diplomatic mission in Iraq, with the aim of advancing the development of bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as the interest of the two friendly people, according to a statement by the Media Office Deputy Speaker of Parliament, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
The Deputy Speaker stressed, according to the statement, the keenness of the parliament and the government to build good relations with all countries of the world, especially countries that have solid expertise in the fields of energy, industrial and agricultural investment, in addition to sectors that achieve economic growth.
The media office noted that "the two sides agreed to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, open horizons for cooperation in the political, economic and cultural fields, exchange visits at the legislative and executive levels, in addition to activate the work of the Joint Friendship Committee with the aim of accelerating the steps of signing the agreed bilateral agreements to encourage trade exchange and facilitate the entry of investors and businessmen."
