Defense Minister arrives in Kirkuk province to oversee the security situation

Defense Minister Thabet Mohammed Al-Abbasi arrived on Wednesday in Kirkuk province at the head of a high-level security delegation to oversee the security situation in the province.
 
A statement by the Ministry of Defense, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said that "Defense Minister Thabet Muhammad Al-Abbasi arrived in Kirkuk province, accompanied by the deputy commander of joint operations, and the commander of the ground forces, and was received upon his arrival at Kirkuk International Airport by the governor of Kirkuk, Chairman of the Supreme Security Committee Rakan Saeed Al-Jubouri, the commander of the advanced headquarters for joint operations and the commander of Kirkuk police."

"The visit came to review the security situation in the province and follow up on the military units deployed within their areas of responsibility," he said.
