The Minister of Planning and Chairman of the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council, Muhammad Tamim, confirmed Thursday that the council has future steps and tasks in light of the climatic challenges, while he indicated that issues of electrical link-up, industrial partnership, agriculture and joint cooperation will be discussed.
The spokesman for the General Secretariat of the Cabinet, Haider Majeed, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that, "The Minister of Planning and Chairman of the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council, Muhammad Tamim, conveyed, during the start of the council's work, the greetings of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani to the Saudi king, the crown prince, and the Saudi people."
He added, "The minister also conveyed the desire of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani for the success of the council, which came as a continuation of the previous stages," explaining that "the council will have a great deal in the Iraqi-Saudi relations."
Majeed continued, "The Chairman of the Council confirmed that there are future steps and tasks in light of the challenges the world is witnessing, most notably the climate challenges and their reflection and treatment through the determination of the leaderships of the two countries, as the Council will be able to take care of all tasks and bilateral relations," pointing out, "Important issues will be discussed, including linking Electricity, industrial partnership, investment, agriculture and joint cooperation.
