Capturing the accused of killing the RPS officer: MOI

Ministry of Interior-MOI announced on Friday, arresting the accused of killing an officer of the Rapid Response Squad-RPS in Maysan in 2021.
 
“The detachments of the second regiment affiliated to the Second Brigade, the Rapid Response Division, in cooperation with the intelligence department, and Diwaniyah Governorate Police Command, were able to arrest a suspect, under various judicial rulings, including Article 4 / Anti-Terrorism Law, and Article 406 for killing Captain (Ali Hussein Ali Al-Taweel), one of RPS officer in Maysan Governorate in 2021," stated MOI in a statement received by The Iraqi News Agency –INA.


The statement continued, “The accused was arrested and handed over to the concerned sides."
