Capturing the most dangerous accused of smuggling immigrants to EU: MOI

The Ministry of the Interior-MOI announced on Thursday, the arrest of the most dangerous suspect accused of smuggling migrants to the European Union.
 
"With an intelligence effort, vigorous follow-up and high-level coordination by the detachments of the Arab and International Police Directorate (Interpol) at the Ministry of Interior and the National Intelligence Service with Interpol in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, the specialized detachments arrested the most dangerous suspects accused of smuggling migrants to the countries of the European Union and who is judicially wanted to one of EU countries," stated MOT in a statement received by The Iraqi News Agency (INA).
 
The statement added, "The concerned forces have begun taking appropriate investigative measures against him to refer him to the Judiciary in accordance with the legal procedures."
 
Earlier, Interior Minister, Abd al-Amir al-Shammari, directed "Interpol police in the Ministry of Interior to strengthen its efforts in judicial follow-up, activate the intelligence effort to arrest and extradite wanted persons, and activate bilateral cooperation agreements with brotherly and friendly countries in this context."
