The Counter-Terrorism Service-CTS announced Thursday, the arrest of 6 terrorists during search operations.
CTS stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "According to the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shia' Al-Sudani, and under the direct supervision of the CTS commander, Lieutenant General Abd Al-Wahhab Al-Saadi, the CTS units, in coordination with the Counter-Terrorism Regiment (Sulaymaniyah) carried out a duty, as they were able to arrest two wanted persons in Sulaymaniyah Governorate”.
The statement added, “In cooperation with the Counter-Terrorism Directorate (Erbil), a terrorist was arrested, who held the position of commander of an air defense battalion in what so-called Tigris state," noting that "3 terrorists were also arrested in Fallujah district and another in the city of Mosul, in addition to seizing a stack of ammunitions in Shirqat district”.
