Al-Sudani Visits the Immaculate Church in Nineveh Plain

    The Prime Minister, Mr. Mohammed S. Al-Sudani, paid a visit to the Immaculate Church located in the Qaraqosh district of Hamdaniya, situated in the Nineveh Plain. During his visit, His Excellency spoke with a gathering of clerics, notables, and citizens in attendance, emphasizing that his presence was a message of reassurance from the government to the people of Nineveh, representing all their various components. He also regarded this as an opportunity to listen to the perspectives and concerns of the Iraqi Christian community, an integral part of the brotherly Iraqi society.

    PM acknowledged the concerns that some may have and emphasized that the state is fully present with all its institutions, committed to treating all Iraqis without any discrimination. He further emphasized that attaining and consolidating this objective would require the cooperation of all.

    Al-Sudani emphasized the government's commitment to finding comprehensive solutions to service and living issues through a reformative approach that prioritizes realistic implementation. He made it clear that political and societal differences would not be allowed to hinder progress. Drawing attention to the country's past achievements, he highlighted that the Iraqi people had successfully defeated the ruthless ISIS gangs and were now equipped to prevail in the domain of reconstruction and development.

    The church leadership in Mosul expressed satisfaction and optimism on behalf of the citizens of the Nineveh Plain. They believe in the potential for positive change through the government's pursued plans and programs focused on improving the lives of citizens of all communities.
