PM Visits Al-Nabi Yunus Mosque and the Great Mosque of Al-Nuri in Mosul

The Prime Minister, Mr. Mohammed S. AI-Sudani, visited two significant mosques in Mosul. Firstly, he visited Al-Nabi Yunus Mosque situated on the left bank of the city, followed by a visit to the Great Mosque of Al-Nuri located in the center of the old city on the right bank. 

During his visit, the Prime Minister received a detailed briefing on the progress of the ongoing efforts to rebuild the two mosques that were destroyed by ISIS terrorists. He closely followed the various stages of restoration and maintenance of the historical parts of both sites, and the significant efforts undertaken to recover their architectural and heritage value. 

In the guest book, His Excellency expressed his appreciation for the dedicated and sincere efforts made towards restoring these Islamic edifices to their former glory after the barbaric attack of ISIS gangs. He also highlighted the significance of Al-Hadba’ Minaret , which is a symbol of Mosul's unique architecture and identity.

The Prime Minister has instructed his team to overcome any obstacles that may hinder the reconstruction and restoration efforts. He emphasized the need to provide all the necessary resources and support required for the construction work to proceed without any delays.
