National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji confirmed today, Thursday, that Iraq welcomes any international effort to help combat drugs.
The media office of the National Security Adviser said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji, received in his office the Norwegian ambassador, Aspen Lindbeck, and during the meeting, they reviewed the relations of cooperation and friendship between Iraq and Norway, and ways to develop them, in a way that serves the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
Al-Araji assured the Norwegian ambassador that "the terrorist ISIS still poses a threat to the region and the world, and Iraq continues to fight terrorist elements until they are eliminated," noting that "the Iraqi forces have great experience in the field of combating terrorism, and they need the support of friendly countries in the areas of exchange."
