Al-Sudani extends his congratulations to the people of the Yazidi component

Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani extended on Wednesday congratulations to the Yazidi component, indicating that this component extends its roots in the soil of Iraq.

Al-Sudani said in a tweet, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We extend our sincere congratulations and blessings to our people from the Yazidi component on the occasion of the Yazidi New Year," noting, "This authentic component has its roots extending into the soil of Iraq for hundreds of years."

He added, "We share your joys and remember your great sacrifices that prompted you to adhere to your Iraqiness and belonging to our honorable homeland."

Al-Sudani concluded the tweet by saying, "Happy new year to our beloved country, the Iraq of diversity, brotherhood and love."
