Iraq: Following up the conditions of the Iraqi community in Khartoum

The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, confirmed that the ministry is following with interest the conditions of the Iraqi community in Khartoum.

"MOFA, via its embassy in Khartoum, is following up on the conditions of Iraqi citizens residing in Sudan, in light of the ongoing security developments there," said Al-Sahhaf in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

He asserted, "The ministry calls on Iraqi citizens to take caution, stay away from areas of tension, and adhere to the instructions issued by the local authorities there."

"We call on all Sudanese political parties to give priority to dialogue and to avoid escalation in order to preserve civil peace and serve the interests of the brotherly Sudanese people," he included.
