President Rashid: Iraqi universities are among the most prestigious in the region

    President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid confirmed On Monday, that Iraqi universities are among the most prestigious in the region.
     
    According to a statement from the President of the Republic received by the Iraqi News Agency, "President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid received today at the Baghdad Palace, a delegation of university presidents comprising the President of the University of Baghdad Mounir al-Saadi, the President of the Technological University Ahmed al-Ghaban, the President of the Iraqi University Ali al-Jabouri, and the President of the University of KarKamir Thazimi University al-K s university education."
     
    The President of the Republic stressed that "the scientific aspect and its sobriety should be given priority to graduating students who possess scientific and academic foundations", pointing out that "Iraqi universities are among the most prestigious universities in the region and have a good reputation and scientific sobriety worldwide, graduating scientific and academic elites operating inside and outside the country."
     
    He noted that he would "make field visits to Iraqi universities", stressing "the importance of the private sector having a role in accommodating graduate students".
     
    He pointed out the importance of developing universities through cooperation and coordination with their female counterparts in the world as well as with international practical and research centres, noting "the need to upgrade the realities of private colleges, attention to the development of the curriculum of students and the need to support the first and distinguished to develop their skills and benefit from their potential."

     
    For their part, the university presidents present expressed their "thanks to the President of the Republic for his keenness to enhance the status of universities", stressing that "their institutions have taken plans to raise the level of science and increase the number of students resurrected outside the country".
     
    University presidents noted the "importance of coordination with NGOs".
