Hussain and Romanowski discuss developments in the political situation in Iraq

    Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein discussed with the US Ambassador to Iraq, Alina Romanowski, developments in the political situation in Iraq.

    A statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fouad Hussein, received the Ambassador of the United States of America to Iraq, Alina Romanowski, and during the meeting, they reviewed the progress of bilateral relations between Baghdad and Washington, and ways to strengthen them in a way that serves the interest of the two peoples." The two friends, and the two sides discussed developments in the political situation in Iraq and the agreement concluded between the federal government and the regional government.

    He continued, "In addition to the agreement concluded between the federal government and the French company Total, and the discussions in parliament on the budget law, in addition to regional developments, especially the rapprochement and agreement between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Iran.".

    For her part, the US ambassador expressed her support for the agreements concluded by the Iraqi government, whether on the internal or external level.
