Oil Minister Hayan Abdul-Ghani announced today, Saturday, the start of the commercial production phase in Karbala Strategic Refinery.
Abdul-Ghani said, in his speech during the inauguration of the Karbala Strategic Refinery, which was attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "It is a day of pride that we begin the stage of commercial production in the strategic Karbala refinery.".
He added that "the purity of gasoline in the refinery reaches 95 octane," pointing out that "the refinery produces 200 megawatts of electricity and contributes 60 megawatts to supply the national grid.".
Today, Saturday, the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani, inaugurated the Karbala Strategic Refinery, with a production capacity of 140,000 barrels per day.
