Al-Mandalawi congratulates the Chaldeans and Assyrians on the occasion of Akitu festival

First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohsen Al-Mandalawi congratulated on Saturday, the Chaldeans and Assyrians on the (Akitu) Festival.
 
Al-Mandalawi said in a tweet, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We extend our best congratulations to the Chaldeans and Assyrians on the occasion of the Assyrian-Babylonian New Year holidays (Akitu)."
 
He stressed that "these occasions reflected the spirit of coexistence and love that brought together all components of the people throughout history," hoping that "may Allah return such occasions with security, progress, and prosperity."
