The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, stressed on Tuesday, the importance of expanding the horizons of cooperation between Iraq and Lebanon.
The presidency of the republic in a statement, received by the Iraqi news agency (INA) stated that," President Rashid received, at the Baghdad Palace, the Lebanese Minister of Labor, Mustafa Hussein Bayram, and his accompanying delegation”.
During the meeting, president Rashid highlighted the deep relations between the two fraternal countries, emphasizing the need to upgrade them in terms of economic, commercial and cultural cooperation.
"Iraq stands with Lebanon," Rashid added, expressing "confidence in the Lebanese ability to move beyond the current circumstances."
The President also stressed "The importance of expanding the prospects for cooperation between Iraq and Lebanon through exchanges of visits and experiences, particularly in the areas of employment, social protection and vocational training, to provide labour markets with specialists".
In turn, Bayram affirmed that "The Iraqi-Lebanese ties has proven its depth in various circumstances, expressing hope to strengthen that relation to facilitate the work procedures for the citizen of both countries”.
Bayram pointed out that "Iraq has been supportive, and in solidarity with Lebanon's legitimate issues," wishing "the continuity of fraternity and bilateral cooperation".
