Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi discussed today, Sunday, with the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid the most important legislation included in the government program.
The media office of the Speaker of Parliament said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi received the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid," noting that "during the meeting, they discussed the general situation in the country and the oversight and legislative role of Parliament, and the most important legislation included in the government program, including the Federal Budget and Elections Law.
According to the statement "The meeting discussed preparations for Baghdad to host the thirty-fourth conference of the Arab Parliamentary Union, which will be held this month."
