Iraqi Media Network opens an investigation regarding Al-Sabah newspaper report about KRG

Head of the Iraqi Media Network, Dr. Nabil Jassim, directed to open an investigation regarding what was stated in Al-Sabah newspaper report about KRG.

"We have seen the statement of the Media and Information Department in the Kurdistan Regional Government - KRG, which came in the context of responding to one of the reports published in Saturday's issue of Al-Sabah newspaper, and here the Iraqi Media Network confirms that it works in accordance with its law in force. It is keen to be a voice for all Iraqis of all affiliations. The network stresses its refusal to prejudice the constitutional rights of legal institutions and entities, including the Kurdistan region," according to a statement by the Iraqi Media Network received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

The statement included that "what was stated in the newspaper does not represent an opinion or an orientation of the network, but rather a journalistic article based on a poll published in most media outlets, including Arab and foreign newspapers. Al-Sabah Newspaper report contained opinions that are different and opposing its content. Despite that, the head of the Iraqi Media Network directed to open an urgent investigation regarding the above report in order to achieve objectivity and in compliance with the law."
