Al-Awadi: The government adopts the productive diplomacy to enhance Iraq's position

    The government spokesman, Basim Al-Awadi, confirmed that the government adopts the title of productive diplomacy and effective mediation to enhance Iraq's position regionally and internationally, pointing out that it is moving through the Washington-Tehran-Riyadh stations to resolve the complexities in the region.

    Al-Awadi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the expansion of Iraq's regional and international relations takes place on a systematic basis through productive diplomacy and sustainable partnership, which are among the most important pillars of the government in foreign policy, and this approach will be harnessed in the service of all Iraqi issues.".

    He added, "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani seeks for Iraq to take its proper regional and international position by exercising the role of an active mediator in the crises surrounding the region that affect its stability and increase levels of negative tension in it. 

    Therefore, according to the title (productive diplomacy and effective mediation) moves The government with its relevant tools to solve the set of complexities in the (Washington - Tehran - Riyadh) stations, some of which are reflected in the Iraqi reality.

    "This stems from the fact that Iraq: first: as a neighbor and friend of the three parties, and secondly: it moves out of a good political intention recognized by the three parties, and thirdly: Iraq has an active link to each of the three stations concerned, and it is affected by this link in its two forms (positive and negative).", he continued.

    Therefore, the existence of Iraq as a center for understanding and effective mediation is at the core of the country's interest, and it is the role that Baghdad is appropriate to play effectively and at all levels.

    He stressed that, "Without a doubt, the recent visit by the Prime Minister to the United Arab Emirates, the presence of the anti-corruption item on its agenda, and the claims made by the agencies concerned with this file to their counterparts in the United Arab Emirates and the talk about certain names, prove that the ninth Iraqi government It sent a clear political and diplomatic message that the relationship with any country should prioritize serious and effective interaction in security cooperation at all levels.

    Regarding the Iraqi aviation file in European airspace, Al-Awadi said, "Although the issue is technical and has mutual requirements, the government is interested in following up the details through the Ministry of Transport to reach a solution to this crisis inherited from previous governments."
