5 urgent directives for the reconstruction of Sinjar and IDPs relief

    The government effort team announced that Prime Minister Mohamed Shiaa al-Sudani issued 5 urgent directives for the reconstruction of Sinjar and relief for the displaced, while setting a date for the start of the reconstruction of the district.

    A member of the team, Abdul Qadir Dakhil, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani directed the need to expedite the provision of urgent and immediate services to the Sinjar district in preparation for the return of the displaced," stressing that "there is clear seriousness on the part of the central government in the return of the displaced and the stability of the security situation in Sinjar district.

    He pointed out, "There are quick and urgent directives from the prime minister that include security and administrative measures and logistical support, in addition to immediately proceeding with the rehabilitation and reconstruction of Sinjar district through service and engineering effort."

    He added, "Al-Sudani directed the formation of a security team from the intelligence, national security and other parties, in order to speed up the audit, so that the security aspect in the judiciary and the return of the displaced is known in order to be a security database.

    He continued, "Al-Sudani also directed the Ministry of Labor to pay the salaries of citizens with limited incomes and those below the poverty line in the Sinjar district and the districts, villages and residential complexes affiliated to the district, in addition to that Al-Sudani directed the reconstruction of these areas immediately through the government effort team."
