The National Security Adviser, Qassim Al-Araji, announced on Sunday, that he has been working on writing the Iraqi national strategy to combat violent extremism that leads to terrorism.
The National Security Adviser, Qassim Al-Araji, said in a speech on the International Day to Prevent Violent Extremism that Leads to Terrorism, which was attended by the reporter of the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Iraq with its supreme religious reference, its national government, its constitutional institutions, its tribes, the heroes of the Ministries of Defense and Interior, the popular mobilization forces , the Peshmerga, and the Counter-Terrorism Service, Societal activities, civil and tribal organizations, were all able to defeat terrorism and stage epics and heroics for the sake of societal harmony and sustainable security."
He added, "Iraq has become the world's story of sacrifice, redemption, distinguished jealousy, and the popular stance," noting that "relief for the affected people in brotherly Syria and friendly Turkey is the best evidence that the Iraqi people are generous people."
Al-Araji praised "the role of the Supreme National Committee, which is working hard to write the Iraqi national strategy to combat violent extremism that leads to terrorism."
He pointed out that "whoever wants to combat terrorism must go to Iraq, just as whoever wants to look at societal diversity must visit Iraq and its brave people."
