The Chairman of National Investment Commission (NIC), Haider Muhammad Makiya, discussed on Thursday, with the Director General of the Iraqi Business Council in Jordan, Abeer Al-Nawab, the promotion of Jordanian investments entering Iraq by benefiting from the privileges guaranteed by the investment law.
A statement of the authority, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the Chairman of NIC, Haider Muhammad Makiya, met with the Director General of the Iraqi Business Council in Jordan, Abeer the deputy, and the accompanying delegation."
The statement pointed out, "The two sides discussed the possibilities of enhancing Jordanian investments entering Iraq by benefiting from the privileges guaranteed by the amended Investment Law No. (13) of 2006, such as residency, entry visas, exemptions, and others."
It added, "Makiya listened to a detailed explanation of the most prominent problems facing the smooth entry of these investments with the aim of solving them and supporting the Council's efforts to attract and attract investments and capital to Iraq."
