Prime Minister Mohamed Shia Al-Sudani arrived Thursday, in the United Arab Emirates on an official visit.
The media office of the Prime Minister stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Al-Sudani arrived in Abu Dhabi on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates, accompanied by a high-ranking government delegation."
The statement added, "An official reception ceremony took place at the Al Watan Palace by the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, which included the playing of the national anthems of both countries and the parade of the guard of honor."
The statement continued, "The Prime Minister will hold a series of meetings with a number of officials in the Emirates, to discuss consolidating bilateral cooperation and partnership between the two countries at various levels, as well as coordinating efforts and positions on regional and international issues and challenges."
