The Governor of the Central Bank confirms moving forward with the government to enhance people's confidence in the national currency

    The Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Ali Mohsen Al-Alaq, confirmed today, Tuesday, moving forward with the government to enhance the people's confidence in their national currency, expressing his thanks for the Cabinet's decision to reduce the exchange rate.
     
    Al-Alaq said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "I extend my sincere thanks and gratitude to the Prime Minister and members of the Council, for the rapid response to the decision of the Central Bank of Iraq to reduce the exchange rate for the dollar in order to alleviate the burden of citizens."
     
      "We confirm our efforts and the honorable government to continue efforts and fruitful coordination to achieve the desired goal," adding that "we pledge our dear people to make more efforts to enhance their confidence in their national currency and to preserve the integrity and sustainability of the financial and banking system." Al-Alaq said.
