Agriculture reveals the contents of the agreement with France

    The Ministry of Agriculture revealed
    the contents of the agreement between Iraq and France regarding the development of agricultural industries, while specifying the goals of food processing and its impact on the country's economy.  

    The ministry's advisor, Mahdi Al-Qaisi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The agreement between Iraq and France, which was signed by the Prime Minister, aims to develop agricultural industries that are mainly carried out by the private sector and related to farmers and investors.".

    He added, "Supporting these segments ensures carrying out productive operations to support the economy of Iraq, and segments working in this sector," stressing "the need to form specialized companies to carry out food industries and assign them to agricultural marketing.".

    Al-Qaisi indicated that "agricultural marketing needs to improve global marketing in order to mitigate or reduce damage to (perishable) crops," pointing out that "regular marketing achieves better economic feasibility for the country.".

    He pointed out that "food processing is an essential pillar of the development of the agricultural sector and the upgrading of the country's economy, as well as its ability to employ the labor force, and move society, industry, trade and other activities," stressing that "the most important points that can be used in the development of agricultural industries is to reduce spoilage." Increasing the economic value and preserving the nutritional value in the country.
