Al-Aboudi receives the Ambassador of Turkey and his accompanying delegation

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research(MOHESR), Naeem Al-Aboudi, stressed on Wednesday, the importance of scientific and academic coordination between Iraqi and Turkish universities.

The ministry said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Minister of MOHESR, Naim al-Aboudi, received the Ambassador of Turkey in Baghdad, Ali Rıza Güney, , and his accompanying delegation, and they discussed developing paths of scientific cooperation and cultural exchange between the two countries."

During the meeting, the Minister of MOHESR stressed "Iraq's keenness and institutions to develop bilateral relations between the two neighboring countries in accordance with the requirements of the common interest sought by the two friendly peoples," pointing to "the importance of scientific and academic coordination and cultural relations between Iraqi and Turkish universities and the development of mutual scholarship programs in light of the approved contexts of understanding on both sides."

In turn, the ambassador expressed his thanks to the Minister of MOHESR for developing cultural, scientific and academic cooperation, noting at the same time that "the Turkish side is working to increase scholarships granted to Iraqi students and to proceed with joint academic projects between Iraq and Turkey."
