The Presidents of the Republic and the Parliament stress the importance make serious efforts to combat corruption

The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, and the Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, stressed today, Sunday, the importance of making serious efforts to combat corruption.
 
 
The media office of the Speaker of Parliament stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi met today, Sunday, with the President of the Republic, Abdul al-Latif Jamal Rashid, and during the meeting, they discussed developments in the political and security situation on the local and regional arenas, as well as Strengthening Iraq's relations with its Arab and international surroundings.
The statement added, "The meeting stressed the importance of consolidating the principle of dialogue between the national forces and making serious efforts to combat and eliminate corruption in order to reach political, security and economic stability, and the need to pass laws that contribute to achieving the aspirations of the people and meet their requirements."
