Al-Halbousi , Shawabkeh discuss preparations for the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union conference to be held in Baghdad

Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi and the Secretary-General of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, Fayez Ali al-Shawabkeh, discussed on Monday, preparations for the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union conference to be held in Baghdad.

The media office of the Speaker of Parliament stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi received today the Secretary-General of the Arab Parliamentary Union, Fayez Ali al-Shawabkeh."

The statement added, "During the meeting, they discussed the work and preparations for the thirty-fourth conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, which will be hosted by the capital, Baghdad, on February 23-26."
