Baghdad Municipality signs a memorandum of understanding with the Turkish municipality of Gaziantep

    The Baghdad Municipality announced today, Sunday, the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Turkish municipality of Gaziantep for joint bilateral cooperation to serve the interests of the capital, Baghdad.
     
     
     The media office of the Municipality stated, in a statement that "the signing of the memorandum at the headquarters of the Baghdad Municipality Diwan was attended by the Mayor of Baghdad Ammar Musa Kadhim, the Governor of Gaziantep Daoud Gul, the Governor of Baghdad and the Turkish Ambassador, in addition to the Turkish delegation that includes the Secretary-General of the Municipality and a number of officials, chambers of commerce, federations and businessmen.  
    The statement added, "The Mayor of Baghdad indicated that" the preparation of this memorandum took place for a long time, but it was completed, and it will be a starting point for joint cooperation between the Municipality of Baghdad and the Municipality of Gaziantep in the field of waste recycling and the preservation of heritage areas and other service sectors. Gaziantep has 25 memorandums of understanding with Arab and foreign countries, and it is one of the important municipalities in Turkey, and its president heads the Federation of All-Turkish Municipalities.
      "Memorandum is the result of concerted efforts between the Baghdad Municipality, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Prime Minister's Office and the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, and it was signed to serve as a launch for joint cooperation that serves the interests and goals of the capital, Baghdad."
    In turn, "the municipality of Gaziantep presented a gift to the Baghdad Municipality, which is a specialized mechanism in the field of cleanliness, while the Baghdad Municipality exchanged it for a gift that is an artistic painting that reflects the life and heritage of ancient Baghdad."
