In its closing session, the Asian Parliamentary Assembly decided to continue Iraq as Vice-President of the Assembly, and Chairman of the Political Affairs Committee, and to issue several decisions within four committees after it were voted and approved.
A statement issued by the media office of the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, and received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said: "The assembly concluded, today, Tuesday, the work of its thirteenth session, which was held in the Turkish state of Antalya from (8-10 January), and includes 44 member parliaments, 14 observer parliaments, and 10 observer organizations that meet regularly.
"The Iraqi delegation, headed by Mandalawi, and the membership of the deputies (Adnan Fayhan, Abdul Karim Abtan, Omar Saleh), participated in the meetings and work of the association and chaired the Political Affairs Committee, as well as meeting with a number of representatives of the participating parliamentary delegations."
