Iraq , Kuwait discuss uniting efforts in regional and international forums

    The parliamentary delegation, headed on Sunday,  by First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, and its Kuwaiti counterpart, headed by Muhammad Al-Mahan, discussed uniting efforts in regional and international forums and strengthening cooperation frameworks."

    The media office of the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Iraqi parliamentary delegation, headed by First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, met today, Sunday, the Kuwaiti parliamentary delegation headed by (Muhammad Al-Mahan), on the sidelines of the session's work the thirteenth Asian Parliamentary Assembly, held in the Turkish state of Antalya."


    The statement  added, "During the meeting, joint parliamentary relations were discussed, and the importance of strengthening parliamentary cooperation frameworks between the two countries was emphasized, and it was agreed to unify positions and efforts in developing parliamentary work within the framework of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, especially with regard to the (Iraq) presidency of the Political Affairs Committee, and on behalf of Presiding over the association, and in various regional and international forums."


    It continued, "The Kuwaiti parliamentary delegation congratulated Iraq for its success in hosting the 25th Gulf Championship, wishing it prosperity and stability and continued progress and success."
