The Parliament is keen on cooperating with the Asian Community, says Al-Mandalawi

    INA - BAGHDAD 

    Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Muhsin Al-Mandalawi, affirmed the Iraqi Parliament's keenness to enhance its cooperation with the parliaments of the member states of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly.

    The Iraqi parliamentary delegation headed by Al-Mandalawi arrived on Saturday, in the Turkish state of Antalya, to participate in the meeting of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, which starts from 8th to 10th of January in which Iraq occupies the position of Vice-President of the assembly. It includes 44 member of parliaments, 14 observer parliaments, and 10 observer organizations, which meet periodically, according to a statement by Al-Mandalawi's office, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

    The delegation, headed by Al-Mandalawi, met this evening with the Secretary-General of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, Mohammed Reda Majidi; to discuss the most important topics on the agenda of the thirteenth session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly.

    During the meeting, the keenness of the Iraqi Parliament was emphasized to strengthen its cooperation with the parliaments of the member states of the Assembly, and to invest the opportunity to exchange experiences, strengthen friendships, as to achieve mutual interests that serve the people and the development, as well as prosperity of countries.
